The best way to get return shares on Poshmark

Are you constantly doing community shares with no results. Do you feel like no one is returning shares? Many don’t share. Many use VA’s and focus on self shares. This is great if you have a lot of followers yourself. If not, you need to do the grunt work, which is to share and follow others.

It took me a while to figure this out and this is best way to get return shares.

In my previous post I showed you how to follow active sellers giving you the best potential to gain more followers.

Now, if you go back to that same way of finding the active sellers, these are the ones to share. Whether you follow them or not, these are active on the app Roth now. I choose the closets with a lot of shares, these have the tendency to reciprocate shares. I will not bother to follow or share closets with many items for sale with little followers and shares. Some are smaller closets only selling personal items and those tend to not follow or share. I also avoid the closets with 5,000 community shares. These closets tend to have done the minimum work to achieve Ambassador status and are no longer interested in community shares or follows.

Have you tried this method, has it worked for you? Let me know.

Best way to get gain more followers on Poshmark

Followers. We all want more followers. This creates more potential for your items to be seen and shared.

This is the best way I found to gain active followers on Poshmark so far.

On the app, open up the menu, click on your closet name.

Go to the find people tab,

Click on the My brands tab,

Pick any brand,

Switch to ‘active sellers’

These are the sellers to follow.

More on this. Yes, you could click on every closet and follow them, there is a great portion that will not follow you back. Many are smaller closets that have not gotten the hang of following. I tend to only follow closets that have many followers. and shares. I don’t bother following a closet with 5 items for sale with 0 shares and minimal followers.

I did the whole follow game and it did not work for me. It was time consuming and didn’t get the same results.

Have you tried this? Do you have another method that works? Feel free to share.

Oak & Fork

Oak & Fork is located inside the Harrah’s Ak Chin Casino in Maricopa, Az.

If you know Maricopa, you know there is a limited selection for dining. In a sea of fast food, Maricopa is slowly getting better options.

Harrah’s Oak & Fork has got to be our favorite spot in Maricopa. Our first visit was at the soft opening and we have been regulars since then. Specializing in fine wines and small plates, this place is the perfect amount of food for 2. Set inside the casino with bar seating and seating available outside near the fire, depending on the time of year.

Our favorite from the start has got to be the build your own charcuterie board. The meat and cheese options are endless and we plan on trying everything at least once. Usually my husband and I will share 2-3 small plates, which is plenty.

Have you tried Oak & Fork? What are you favorites?

Reservations are not needed, Oak & Fork is located inside the casino at:

Poshmark Posh n Sips

Have you ever attended a Posh n Sip in your area?

Posh n Sips are held all the time by other resellers. You can find a list of past and upcoming events on the Poshmark Blog as well as on instagram and Facebook.

My first Posh n Sip was about 8 months into my reselling journey. One of the hosts messaged me on my meet the Posher page inviting me. I was still new and had just started an instagram for my business, so I had never heard of this Posh n Sip before. As I did not know any other resellers at the time, although a bit intimidated, I still went, alone. I did meet other sellers in my area, some I have gotten to know well over time.

These events are social and yes, they can be intimidating. The many that I have been to have been in a happy hour setting, with food and drink for purchase if you choose. As you can imagine, many sellers go in pairs or with friends that they know. Yes, many will not talk to you and keep to their friends. For the most part, if you are friendly, introduce yourself and are open to conversation, you will enjoy the event and meet new friends.

Have you been to any Posh n Sips? Did you have fun? Let me know.

Get on social media

As a reseller it’s important to get on social media.

Social media is still not my thing. I’m still learning and getting the hang of things. I have learned that it is necessary to get out there.

Whether it’s Facebook, instagram, Twitter or any platform you choose, start somewhere. It’s important to get your name or business name out there. Social media is where many individuals turn to learn more about you and your business. These days, others ask for your social media name, not a business card.

There are so many sellers out there to meet and connect with. I have learned so much from instagram alone. As a newer reseller, the hauls are my favorite. Some brand names I had never heard of until getting on instagram. In my opinion, instagram is currently my favorite to use and learn from.

If instagram is not your thing, there’s Facebook. Facebook has tons of groups to interact with. If you’re looking for share groups, hauls or even resellers in your area, Facebook has a group for you.

If you are not on social media, you are missing out on so much information. Perhaps the ‘social’ aspect isn’t quite your thing. It’s still important to make that account and start gradually. You don’t want to miss out on events or sales going on in your area.

Are you on instagram? Facebook? Twitter? Give me a follow and say hi!

Basic Reseller Business Tips

Whether new or a seasoned seller, here’s a few key points to keep in mind. Remember-I sell clothing and shoes, on Poshmark, ebay and Mercari.

Have a plan, a business plan. Someone recently told me “As soon as you sold your first item, you became a business person!” Plan on this as you are a business person. Have a plan with steps in mind. We all start some where. Get planner or calendar and write things down. Things that need to get done, not necessarily in order.

Buy low sell high. Basic. Market. thinking. Buy or acquire inventory at the lowest price point possible and aim to list high for highest yield. This may require research and some digging. It is possible to find ‘cheap’ inventory, no matter you niche.

Marketing. Get your name out there. Business cards, networking and social medial are all easy ways to get your name out there. Twitter, tumblr, youtube, Facebook, instagram, and pinterest are all avenues that are waiting for you to tap into. Get your name out there to be seen and heard. No one will know who you are and what you sell, unless they ‘hear or see’ your name somewhere.

Business. This is a business. Treat this a a business from the start if you can. Open a separate account for business use. This will make things easier down the road some tax season. This will allow you to set budgets and keep ‘business’ spending to a minimum.

Expand. If necessary, and the time is appropriate, feel free to expand and grow your business. Starting small and concentrating on one area is fine, with time and knowledge, expand as necessary. Add employees, and platforms.

Remain Professional. Remember the saying ‘the customer is always right’? It’s true, they are right. Take it humbly and handle it the right way. Learn from the mistakes we all make. Suck it up and accept the return for whatever the reason. Humbly apologize and give refunds when they are due. Do not engage the customer and never bad mouth a customer on social media.

Pay yourself. Now that you have everything set up, almost. Pay yourself. Whether bi weekly or monthly. (I do Monthly) Pay yourself or employees. Keep track of hours and pay accordingly. I personally started paying myself minimum wage 3-4 hrs a day, 5 days a week give or take. Your time is valuable, as is anyone’s time that helps you on this reselling journey.

Reseller extras – stickers

Stickers

Once you have a logo, you can use that logo to order various items for your business. It’s nice to have ‘freebies’ to hand out at Posh n Sips, meet ups, friends and at Poshfest. This can be a nice unique way for others to remember your name.

The sitckers I use currently are from Stickermule. I first saw their add on instagram adverstising 10 custom stickers for $1. I sent this link to my husband who ordered stickers for his business. After I saw the quality, I went ahead and ordered mine. I also placed a bigger order to hand out at Poshfest. Stickermule is pretty easy to use and have quick shipping.

Reseller extras – logos

Logos

Having a unique logo for your business can set you aside from all the other sellers and resellers out there. There are plenty of designers that can make a logo for you for a set fee. There are also tons of sites where you can create you own logo.

When coming up with the trishvan99 design, we used Logomakr. My husband, (the computer guy) designed my logo with my help……

Wherever you choose to make your logo, make sure you have the copyright to your logo. Be sure to request your logo in vector format, this is what you will send in when making various promotional items.

Do you have a logo? Have you used Logomakr?
